Big Tex Outdoors is my go-to for firearm accessories and all other gear that is pertinent to those who carry a gun for self-defense on a daily basis. Big Tex doesn’t stock gimmicky garbage. They carry the good stuff.

Love the messenger notification for when the item came in stock! Great price, fast shipping. Could not ask for anything better.

Big Tex has become my go to supplier for all things light related. I work primarily nights and always where I need additional light. The new EDCL2-T offers a great combination of usable light for finding a dropped phone in our laser tag arena and high output to PID a suspicious person near my driveway at 2am.

Probably the best online shopping experience I’ve had anywhere.

I bought this light in July for my daughter up in Alaska. It is August now and she is still waiting for it to get dark so she can try it out around the house. She has been using a Surefire Z2 Combat Light for years that I gave her, Great light but the EDCL2-T with the huge increase of light over the Z2 will give her the ability to identify what prowling around the house at a greater and safer distance.

This light is great. I love the gas pedal tailcap. The only complaint i have is that it does not take 18650 batteries. The light is very durable, i have used it to adjust the sights on my pistol a few times.

Nightshift LEO, I bought this is a backup/pocket carry duty light. It’s ride in a though cargo pocket very nicely and the clip keeps it in position to easily grab without having to search too hard for it.

It is switchback compatible, but I don’t have one yet. Beam pattern is excellent for quick searches within 50yds or so depending on the environment. Variable output is great when it’s strictly an admin search or I’m searching a car. Sometimes I wish it had a clicky tailcap but I can just twist the tail cap in for constant on.

Either way, I’m very happy with the purchase. Right tool for the right job.

I loved the EB2-T to the point where I bought one for carry and one to train with and abuse – the EDCL2-T is, in my opinion, a very welcome evolutionary improvement.

The 25,000 cd/1200 lumens makes for a noticeable real-world difference over its forerunner’s 16,000/600 figures. No, it’s not mind-blowingly different (on high, more on this in a minute), but it’s definitely noticeable, with longer-throw/hotter-center as well as more workable spill (towards training, as an average-Joe citizen who takes some low-light classes every once in a while, I do not feel compelled to purchase a second EDCL2-T, as I think that the EB2-T is a sufficiently similar training counterpart).

One thing to note is that the low-mode figure of 5 lumens is inaccurate by my eyes. It seems that it’s considerably brighter than the low-mode on my EB2-Ts. To my eyes, it seems that the low on the EDCL2-T is more like 15 to 20 lumens. Still usable in an administrative manner, definitely, but as someone who really liked the low-mode output of the EB2-T, subjectively, I feel that the increased low end on the EDCL2-T is just a little much for some of my closer-in tasks, especially on more reflective surfaces.
